Success is a journey and not the destination. In the journey of success, every finishing line is the new starting line. After every challenge, once again, we have to strive hard to attain success and we find ourselves putting all efforts to achieve our goal. Thus the journey of success continues; appreciation & applause, awards & rewards are mere milestones but not the destination!
We need to stop looking back and start looking ahead. We need to raise our standards, set a new challenge and re-invest our efforts once again. Our previous success itself becomes a tremendous source of motivation to move on in this journey.
Success can never be gained without deserving it. A rich man’s son may inherit his father’s wealth and business, but he cannot be called successful till he learns to deserve the position by his positive contribution. How does one become deserving? It is hard work which makes us deserve success. In other words, the secret of success is hard work. Hard work does not mean just physical labour, it means the application of our entire being in any given task, with total sincerity, nobility and service. It means to serve others whole heartedly and selflessly, then only we can truly deserve success.
Whenever a task is done with the attitude of sincerity, nobility and service, the reward comes unasked e.g. the title of 'Bharat Ratna' is awarded to those who have contributed greatly to one's country which is done not aiming for an award but done out of commitment and dedication without any expectation of the result. This can be best exemplified by the tireless and selfless service rendered by the honourable former President of India, Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam.
Let us all sincerely serve for a noble cause so that we evolve within and make a positive difference to our family, society and country.
